Nature + Construction Symbiosis Services
Symbiosis Associates is the brainchild of Jon Garton’s lifelong journey with business, construction and the natural world. Early on, Jon’s childhood fascination with nature resulted in an ecology-based education – obtaining a bachelor’s degree at Plymouth University in marine biology and coastal ecology and studying for a master’s degree at Edinburgh University in biodiversity, wildlife and ecosystem health.
Experience + Understanding
His later career path took a sudden change, where he spent the next 20 years in the construction industry, learning all aspects of the building trade and the policies associated with it.
Jon is a qualified electrician, is proficient at many trades, and knows what is involved in building multiple housing projects from conception to completion – be it sustainable drainage, grounds works or detailed interpretation of design drawings. In having an intricate knowledge of both ecology and construction he offers clients a unique perspective in meeting new BNG policy requirements in this fast paced and ever-changing world.
